REMINDER: PARENT/ATHLETE MEETING TOMORROW NIGHT
(SEPTEMBER 16, 2009) AT 6:30PM.
CALENDAR UPDATES
Post-dating to yesterday (September 14, 2009), to see your
group’s workout times, you now need to use the group-specific
pull-down at the top of the calendar section. From there, click on
the underlined text on the calendar date and everything you
need to know will be there.
The "general" calendar item will stop working as of this
friday.
We are doing this to make attendance an easier process for the
coaches and embrace some fancy new technoligy that the website
allows. Obviously, this will be changing from time to time when
meet entry files are uploaded to the system.
WEBSITE
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE (yes, I’m begging.
ESPECIALLY to the newer families) log-in to your
accounts and make sure all information is correct for you and your
family. Accurate first names, middle intitals, last
names, birthdates are all necesairy for the system. Yes, it does
need to be the same as it would be on a birth certificate.
This all gets back to the athlete’s United States Swimming
(USS- yes, this acronym will become very common) number which stays
with your swimmer’s entries and meet results for their entire
swimming career. So, yes, its rather important.
There is a location for a "preferred name", so pleae don’t
confuse that with the first name- the spelling can be different
which makes a royal mess of meet entries and results.
Also: PLEASE make sure that the e-mail address
that you check the most is at the top- there are places to add up
to three.
We are asking this as we’ve had to cancel practices last
minute in the past, due to High School events, and if we have your
home e-mail address only while you’re at work, you might not
get the update on practices!
So, if there is a more feasible e-mail address (spouse, sibling,
other family member, pet...), please add it! Most families
these days have at least two e-mails (ours has 7), so if your
athlete would also like to get the news feeds (some already do!),
this might also be the time to add their address.
OTHER ITEMS
The pre-senior group has been added as a billing group as
well as a calendar group.

BILLING:
For those of you who were billed last month on our vacation, the
system will not bill you this month- there was a glitch in the
system that has now been corrected. if you still have a concern,
please let me know.
ALSO- there are a few credit/debit cards that
are curently not being accepted. We will be emailing you
individually to correct this situation- if you know that your card
is about to expire, please go into the system and update this
information.
Final note for those new to the system: it bills on the
21st of every month for the previous month’s dues.
SWIM MEETS:
The bid process for our 2009 swim meet season only began
today. Here is a list of home meets only that
we will host at our home pool. Some are duplicates of last
year and other new bids will be noted as such:
January 23/24 (repeat)
April 17/18 (new meet that we are bidding on)
June 12/13 (repeat)
July 24/25 (new meet that we are bidding on)
October 9/10 (new meet that we are bidding on)
The "home" and "away" meets will also be added to
the calendar as soon as the bidding process is complete, in a few
weeks.
