Swim Groups 

Set Swim offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of Set Swim to offer age specific training for all of our athletes.  Training is geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

SET Training Groups

 

BRONZE GROUP: (T/TH/F) 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Ages 5 and up

Practice Duration: 1 Hour

Practices per week: 3

Monthly Dues $75

Qualifications : Ability to swim 1 length of the pool in both freestyle with side breathing and backstroke.

Goals : This group is designed to introduce the swimmers to the 4 competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly). This is achieved through close instruction with each swimmer through the use of drills and games to make each practice fun. Butterfly and breaststroke are introduced.

 

Bronze group attends “White” level meets depending on ability level
 

SILVER GROUP: M-F 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.

Ages 7-12

Practice Duration 1.5 Hours

Practices per week: 5

Monthly Dues: $80

Qualifications : Must be able to train 50 yards freestyle on 1:10 interval and know all 4 competitive strokes, starts, turns and finishes or have Coach’s recommendation.

Goals : Focus is on developing the swimmer’s skills and technique in preparation for competition. Each workout contains sets as well as technique drills.

 

Silver Group attends “Red/White” level meets depending on ability level
 

GOLD GROUP: M-F 5:30-7:30 pm., M & F 8:00 a.m - 9:00 a.m.

Ages 9 and up

Practice Duration: 2 hours

Practices per week: 5

Monthly Dues: $90

Qualifications: Must be able to complete 6 X 100 yds free on 1:45 and 5 X 100m IMs on 2:00 or have Coach’s recommendation.

Goals : At this level a greater portion of practice will be devoted to general conditioning, in preparation for more demanding races and competitions. Technical drills emphasizing efficiency are still incorporated into each workout. The focus is general conditioning and technical knowledge of the 4 competitive strokes, starts, turns and finishes.

 

Gold Group attends “Blue/Red/White” level meets depending on ability level
 

SENIOR GROUP: M-F 5:30-7:30 p.m., M & F 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

Ages 13 & Up

Practice duration 2-2.5 Hours

Practices per week: 5

Monthly Dues $95

Qualifications : Must be at least 13 years of age and have Coach’s recommendation.

Goals : The focus is on the continued mental and physical development the athlete achieved in Gold Group. The extra time in the water is devoted towards conditioning in preparation for higher lever competition. More time is focused on Speed and core strength to achieve national level meets.

 

Senior Group attends JO’s, Invitationals and Blue level meets depending on ability level.
